How to get to Ústí nad Labem

After arrival to Prague airport – Václav Havel Airport Prague, you should exchange money for bus and train; 30 euro should be enough for you. It means almost 750 CZK. After taking your luggage, you should go outside to bus station and wait. Your bus is AE. It means Airport Express. Don’t buy tickets from a machine; you will buy from the driver when you get on the bus, you can pay by cash or credit card.

The price of a bus ticket is 200 CZK. This bus goes directly to train station “Praha Hlavní nádraží (or Praha Hl. n.)” and you will get off at last station (you will go around 30 minutes). The last station is the train station – “Praha Hlavní nádraží”.

After getting off the bus you will see an elevator, get in and go to the bottom floor where you will see the ticket office. You can take a ticket to Ústí nad Labem, which costs around 200 CZK. After buying the ticket you should go upstairs and check the timetable to find your train’s platform. Your ticket is valid until the end of the day, therefore, you can get any train until the last train. The last train will depart at 23:41.

After getting on the train you just have to wait until the train station “Ústí nad Labem hlavní nádraží”. The length of way is 106 km but the time depends on the speed of the train, usually, it takes more than 1 hour. How to get to the University and the University Dormitory

So, how to get to the dormitory? You can walk, but it is not that close. So you might want to use the public transport. First of all, you need to buy a valid ticket. There are few selectable options, but you just need to buy an adult ticket for 45 minutes (other options are for different purposes). You can buy the ticket in the ticket machine, at any newspaper stand or from the driver of bus / trolley bus. The price is around 25 CZK, but it can be more expensive if you buy it from the driver. Do you have your ticket? Great, you can catch a trolley bus (or bus), mark your ticket and go directly to the dorms! The closest station from the main train station in Ústí is called: Mírové náměstí, and it is about 3 minutes walk from the train, if you go straight through the V Jirchářích street. You can use trolley buses number 70, 71, and bus number 79 and go directly to Klíše lázně station.

The same instructions (how to find a bus / trolley bus, and how to buy a ticket) are applicable even if you want to go to the university, you can use trolley buses number 70, 71 or bus number 81. Just get off at the station called Kampus.
