Scholarship opportunities at UJEP
As an international student at UJEP, you can benefit from several scholarship opportunities. These include scholarships offered directly by UJEP as well as national scholarship programmes provided outside the university.
Scholarships offered by UJEP
UJEP offers a variety of scholarships designed to support students throughout their studies. Depending on your academic performance, personal circumstances, or study programme, you may be eligible for:
- Merit‑based scholarship for excellent academic results,
- Accommodation scholarship to help cover living expenses,
- Extraordinary scholarship in cases worthy of special consideration, such as participation in educational and scientific research activities, involvement in international cooperation, outstanding sporting achievements, representation of UJEP or its faculties, other significant activities carried out for the benefit of UJEP or its faculties, exemplary civic actions, etc.,
- Doctoral scholarship,
- Social scholarship.
All these scholarships are awarded in accordance with the Scholarship Regulations of UJEP. After enrolling, you can contact your faculty study department for information about the available types of support and the application process.
Additional financial support at UJEP
Beyond standard scholarships, UJEP also offers several forms of financial support that recognise student achievement, research activity, and contributions to university life.
Students may apply for funding through:
- the Student Grant Competition, supporting student research projects,
- Support for UJEP sports representation, provided to students who represent the university in sports,
- Support for scientific and creative activities, aimed at students engaged in academic, scientific or artistic work.
Annual awards granted by UJEP
UJEP also recognises exceptional student achievements through special annual awards, including:
- The Rector’s award for outstanding creative or academic results,
- The Rector’s award for exceptional sports achievements,
These awards honour students who significantly contribute to the academic, creative, or sporting reputation of the university.
External financial support recommended by UJEP
Each year, Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem announces the conditions for additional external scholarships. These may include awards for the best UJEP students or financial recognition for outstanding Bachelor’s or Master’s theses.
Scholarships offered outside UJEP
International students may also take advantage of national scholarship programmes offered by the Czech Republic. These programmes are funded either by the Czech Government or based on bilateral international agreements with partner countries.
