Your study journey
Step 1 Initial Inquiry
Get acquainted with our university and discover what UJEP has to offer you. This first step is all about exploring your possibilities: browsing faculties, learning about campus life, and getting a sense of the atmosphere that shapes our academic community.
The best starting point is our official university website, where you can find essential information.
If you prefer a more personal and student‑focused perspective, visit our dedicated platform – Presentation Portal – weareujep. Here, you can find stories, videos, and insights from current students and staff to help you imagine what your future at UJEP could look like.
Step 2 Program Exploration
Now it’s time to decide which faculty and study programme suit you best. UJEP offers a wide range of programmes across eight faculties — most of them taught in Czech, with a smaller selection available in English. This step helps you understand where your interests align and what academic path feels right for you. You can browse the full list of currently available study programmes here. For more information, please see the Study Programmes section.
Step 3 Admission Requirements
Once you have selected a study programme and the corresponding faculty, review its current Admission Requirements. Faculties usually publish the Admission Requirements four months before the application deadline. You can find this information on the relevant faculty website or on the main university website here.
At this stage, it is essential to make sure you are viewing the requirements for the relevant academic year. Admission Requirements change annually and vary across faculties, so always double‑check that you are looking at the latest version.
Step 4 Application Submission
You are now ready to apply for your chosen study programme. Applications are submitted electronically through the application system. You can access the E-Application here.
Detailed guidance on completing your E-Application is available in the How to Apply section, where you will find step‑by‑step instructions and helpful tips for a smooth submission process.
Step 5 Application Guidelines & Deadlines
Return to the Admission Requirements outlined in Step 3 to review all guidelines you need to follow. This includes key information on application deadlines, the submission of required documents, fees, and, where applicable, entrance examinations. Keep in mind that you may also see notes from the study department with additional instructions and notices if something is missing or inconsistent. You can also consult the study department of your chosen faculty if you need clarification or guidance during this stage.
Step 6 Admission Status
At this point, you can check whether you have been accepted by logging into the application portal. Your admission status will be displayed directly in your E‑Application, along with any further steps you may need to take.
Step 7 Admission Decision
Congratulations! You have received your admission decision and have now been accepted into your chosen study programme. This is an important milestone on your journey to becoming an UJEP student. Before your studies can officially begin, you will need to complete the enrolment process. This step confirms your place at the university and secures your status as an enrolled student. You officially become an UJEP student only once you complete the enrolment process.
Step 8 Enrolment Invitation
You are invited by the study department at your faculty to attend enrolment day. This invitation will include all relevant details such as the date and time, location, the documents to bring with you etc.
Note: Your physical attendance is mandatory.
Step 9 Enrolment & Student Status
On enrolment day, you will be given all relevant information regarding the commencement of your studies, along with the opportunity to ask questions and meet your fellow classmates. From this day onward, you are officially an UJEP student.
Step 10 Ongoing Academic Support
Throughout your studies, any enquiries or administrative matters should be directed to the study department of your faculty. The staff there can assist you with study-related procedures, deadlines, documentation, and other academic requirements.
You can find the contact information for university and faculty study departments here.
Note: The Study and Examination Regulations define the core rules that shape your entire academic journey. They outline how admission works, how your studies are structured, what rights and responsibilities you have as a student, how courses are assessed, what happens if you interrupt or change your studies, and what you must complete in order to graduate. This document serves as the official reference point for all key academic procedures, and you will return to it throughout your studies whenever you need clarity on how things work. You can access all official university codes and study-related documents here.
Step 11 Study Completion
Your studies are officially completed on the day you pass your state final examination. This moment marks the successful conclusion of your studies at UJEP.
Congratulations — you are now a graduate!
Note: Please be aware that each study programme has a defined standard period of study and a maximum period of study.
Step 12 Graduation Ceremony
The final chapter of your academic journey is the celebration of your achievement at the graduation ceremony. The timing and location depend on the faculty you are graduating from. This is the occasion on which you will receive your diploma and formally mark the successful completion of your academic journey.
Note: If your diploma requires an apostille or full legalization, you will need to follow the standard procedure in the Czech Republic. First, have your documents certified by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and after this step, the documents must be further legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Check the official websites of these institutions for the most up‑to‑date requirements, office hours, and applicable fees.
